While many musicians prefer to use their own instruments for familiarity and specific tones, Estúdio Som Puro does have a selection of quality house instruments available for use during your session. This includes drum kits, guitar and bass amplifiers, some electric and acoustic guitars, a bass guitar, and a keyboard/MIDI controller. Please inquire about the specifics of our available backline when booking your session so we can ensure everything you need is ready.
The time required for mixing or mastering can vary greatly depending on several factors, such as the complexity of the arrangement, the number of tracks, the length of the song, and the current state of the recordings. For mixing, a typical song might take anywhere from 4 to 12 hours. For mastering, an EP or album can take from a few hours to a full day. We can provide a more accurate time and cost estimate after discussing your specific project details and listening to your tracks.
For mixing, please provide individual, uncompressed audio files (WAV or AIFF) for each track, all starting from the same point (bar 1, beat 1). Ensure they are exported at the original session sample rate and bit depth (e.g., 48kHz/24bit). Please remove any master bus processing (limiters, compressors) but leave creative track effects you like. For mastering, provide the final stereo mix as a high-resolution WAV or AIFF file, ideally with 3-6dB of headroom and no limiting on the master bus.
